The Solstice Moon Ritual
in the Art Studio was
Singing This Little Light of Mine
Dancing in the Moonlight
Listening to The Moon poem
Placing shooting stars around our necks
Holding hands and making wishes
Under the moon
Listening to sweet music
Illuminated by friends, family, teachers, and light
All around and within
“There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it” -Edith Wharton
“Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.” -Walt Whitman
Happy Solstice and Happy New year!
Thanks again Marla. We also have some great pics/video from the Solstice. Oh, and thanks for teaching the kids that there are no “boy’s colors” and there are not “girl’s colors” … and that the rainbow is for everybody. It would really bother me if my daughters limited themselves to just part of the spectrum when there is so much more out there to be explored and enjoyed! (we’ll try to get a link to everyone with the pics/videos.)
Thanks for the encouragement on non-gender specific color! Looking forward to seeing the pics.
Marla, I am always amazed at the magic you create, but particularly at Winter Solstice. Thank you.
Hi, Marla,
That is the best Moon EVER! I love the pictures and love the kids faces how they absorb all the magical light in your room! Thank you for making it so special for all of us!
Love,
Agi
